Ask a colleague sitting NEXT to you. (You should not be walking around for a pencil or paper hunt!) There's also the "leave a pencil, take a pencil" box in the back...


Helped out an unprepared friend? You can get extra credit!

...I DISRESPECT/AM DISRESPECTED BY OTHERS IN CLASS?

Calling someone derogatory terms (like dumb, stupid, retarded, fag, bitch, slut, etc.) will NOT be tolerated. Everyone has the right to be treated with respect.

Saying or doing anything that makes someone feel uncomfortable is disrespectful and will also not be tolerated.

  • We will have a chat discussing your behavior some time after class.
  • And/OR you'll receive detention, points off from your participation grade, write a reflective essay, and get a call home.

I TURN IN AN ASSIGNMENT LATE?

If you have a legitimate reason:
(i.e. Doctors note, note from the vice principal or counselor) 
Then we will re-asses the assignment and it’s due date.


If you do NOT have a legitimate reason:
(e.g. I was feeling “sick”, It was "too much work," I was “busy”, or “I didn’t get it”)
Then your grade will be deducted 20% for every day it is late. For example, if the assignment was due Tuesday and you give it on Wednesday and you were supposed to receive a 100%, you will only get an 80%

I NEED TO LEAVE CLASS FOR SOME REASON?

If you have a legitimate reason: (e.g. You feel the urine about to escape your urethra or feces from your anal sphincter. OR you feel death is imminent).

  • Fill out one of your emergency passes and have the teacher sign it.
  • Don't have an emergency pass?
       1. Ask a colleague NEXT to you (Again, no walking around pass hunting. Ain't nobody got time for that.)
       2. No one wants to give you one? Wait until we are doing independent work (class work, reading, etc.) and           ask me for a pass. You will lose your discussion points.

Then you may leave.


If you do NOT have a legitimate reason (e.g. Laquita wants to leave so he can chill with Juan in the hallways.) 

Then you may not leave. 

Note: Every time you leave class, you are missing out on an educational opportunity. Avoid going to "guidance" or "telling Ms.Harte something" during class. Do that during lunch or after school.
